Stadia :  Niedersachsenstadion - Hanover
Home To :  SC Hanover
Capacity:  39,297
Host Matches:  First & Second Round

Looks like: a miniature version of the old Wembley Stadium. The Niedersachsenstadion, as well as being a mouthful, is another stadium to have benefited from a facelift in recent years. In truth, it was more of a 'rip it up and start again' reconstruction of the old stadium, with the south and east stands of the original structure torn down in 2003. The pitch was turned, new stands built, and a new roof installed, giving it a distinctive curved look from above. Hosted matched by finalists Holland and defending champions Brazil during the 1974 World Cup, before time caught up on the old stadium.
